Calibration Standards

There are two (2) types of calibration standards in existence.

Magnetic pull-off gauges (pen-type or banana style) are calibrated using fixed coated plate standards only. Magnetic flux and eddy current gauges (digital w/ probe) utilize either fixed coated plate standards or plastic.

DEFELSKO® Coating Thickness Standards N.I.S.T. Traceable

Directly traceable to The National Institute of Standards (NIST) Certificate of Accuracy included 0.0004 mil resolution (+/- 1.5% accuracy) N.I.S.T. Certificate No. 68146-A, 85691- includes zero plate and two other coated plates (Epoxy)

Stock # 20199A  0 to 20 mil standards – non ferrous

MIKROTEST Standards

A set of four precision plates mounted on a single card. Used for the calibration of Type 1 Magnetic Pull-Off Gauges.

Includes leather storage case.
Size: 8.5” x 6” overall
Each Plate Measures: 2” x 2”
